Mooout Terms & Conditions – United Kingdom
These Terms govern how customers, drivers, and businesses use Mooout to request and provide material transport services in the UK.
1. Definitions & Purpose
Mooout: A technology platform that intermediates material transport within the United Kingdom.
User: Any individual or legal entity that uses the Mooout platform as a customer, driver, or business.
Customer: A User who requests material transport services through Mooout.
Driver: A User approved by Mooout to provide transport services as an independent contractor.
Materials: Physical items that can be transported, excluding people, animals, illegal goods, or hazardous substances.
Purpose: Mooout provides an application that facilitates the transport of materials using geolocation, scheduling, and digital payments, connecting customers and drivers.
2. Registration
- • Registration is free, personal, and non-transferable.
- • Users must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
- • Mooout may suspend or close accounts in cases of misuse, fraud, or prolonged inactivity.
3. Use of the Platform
- • The platform must not be used for illegal purposes or for the transport of people.
- • Customers must provide complete and accurate information about the materials to be transported.
- • Transport services are carried out by independent drivers. No employment relationship is created between Mooout and drivers.
4. Terms for Customers
- • Customers are responsible for proper packaging, securing, and labelling of materials.
- • They must describe weight, volume, fragility, and relevant characteristics truthfully.
- • Mooout does not directly transport materials and is not responsible for damage not covered by any applicable insurance.
- • For high-value materials, customers are strongly encouraged to obtain additional insurance.
5. Terms for Drivers
Driver Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Vehicle suitable and authorised for commercial use.
- Clean criminal record where required by law.
- Registration as self-employed or company with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).
- Motor insurance covering commercial transport of goods.
Driver Responsibilities
- Respect scheduled collection and delivery times.
- Ensure safety and care of materials during transport.
- Confirm load details with the customer before starting the trip.
- Inform Mooout of any incidents, delays, or unforeseen issues.
- Do not transport undeclared, illegal, or hazardous items.
6. Terms for Businesses (Mooout for Business)
- • Business accounts may allow multiple users under a single billing profile.
- • The company is responsible for all requests made through its account.
- • Payment may be made monthly via invoice, including applicable VAT, by bank transfer or card.
- • High-value loads should be insured directly by the company.
7. Payments & Commissions
- • Service fees are calculated automatically based on distance, time, and vehicle type.
- • Additional tariffs may apply, such as peak hours, public holidays, or remote areas.
- • Payments are processed via the Mooout application.
- • The net amount is transferred to the driver after deduction of Mooout’s commission.
- • Drivers receive payouts weekly or bi-weekly to their bank account and can track earnings in the app.
8. Cancellations
- • Cancellations close to the scheduled time may incur fees, as displayed in the app.
- • Abusive or repeated cancellations by any party may lead to account suspension or restrictions.
- • Drivers may decline services before collection, but unjustified no-shows may lead to penalties.
9. Liability & Insurance
- • Mooout is not liable for loss or damage to materials during transport, except where required under applicable UK law.
- • Correct packaging, labelling, and declaration of contents are the sole responsibility of the customer or business.
- • Mooout may offer optional insurance products in the future; terms will be communicated separately.
- • Customers and businesses are strongly encouraged to obtain dedicated cover for high-value loads.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and interface elements of Mooout are protected by intellectual property rights. Reproduction, modification, or distribution without prior written authorisation from Mooout is strictly prohibited.
11. Data Protection & Privacy
Mooout processes personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. For full details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes & Governing Law
Mooout may amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Updated versions will be published in the application and on our website. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or related to the use of the Mooout platform, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules.
